Favorite Fish: Steelhead
Home Water: Deschutes River
I live and breathe being on the water. I grew up in Tennessee chasing trout and hiking the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. Fly fishing caught my attention in 1996 on the Deschutes River and in 2001 my husband Marty introduced me to spey casting, and connecting with steelhead. This addiction to chasing steelhead and other species of fish has led me down a path of sleeping in garages, wearing musty waders, becoming a two time distance casting champion, teacher of fly-fishing, advocate for new anglers in the sport and working to conserve the rivers I love while sharing these outdoor adventures with our daughter Tegan. Marty and I have also operate a guide service providing trips on the John Day, Deschutes and Sandy River for steelhead and smallmouth bass.
