Favorite Fish: Trout
Home Water: Nushagak River, AK
At a very young age Camille knew fly fishing would be a major focal point in her life. She grew up in a small, Montana town nestled along the banks of the Big Horn river where her love of fishing continued to grow. Then once summer hit, she migrated North to Alaska, where she and her parents operated a guided trout camp on the upper Nushagak River in Bristol Bay. At 18, she started guiding and continued to do so for the next 6 years. She has filmed and edited two short films about her life in Alaska, “Forget Me knot” and “Unbroken“. “Unbroken” was a feature film in the 2014 International Fly Fishing Film Festival. Camille is currently working at Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures in Bozeman, Montana where she hosts trips around the globe. This year she will be hosting groups to Christmas Island, Kamchatka, Russia and Patagonia. If she’s not in the office, sitting at the vise or hitting the crossfit gym, she’s likely to be visiting a nearby river.
